AS you know, I am reading The Scorch Trials by James Dashner. Last week, a lot of stuff happened, but this week, even more did. After a few days in the room apartment place, and the gladers ran out of food. They then, find a bathroom and drink water, almost everyday. After a few more days, the gladers find food in one of the other rooms. They also find a man, in a suit, behind an invisible wall. After a few hours, the man speaks and says that they are apart of stage 2 of the trials. The first stage was the Maze and the second, is the Scorch Trials. He says that the next morning, at 6am the gladers have to get ready and go through this thing called a Flat Train. He says that they have to go fast because whoever isn't in the Flat Train by 6:05am, will be executed. So the next morning, they all wake up at 6am and they all go through the Flat Train, before 6:05am.
Since last week, a lot has happened. This week I am doing the signpost contrast and contradictions. The character I picked to do this about is Thomas. Ever since Teresa went missing, Thomas has been acting weird. He has been quiet and doesn't really interact with everyone anymore. He also found out that him and Aris can speak telepathically. I think that since he found this out, that he felt like he lost Teresa forever and is becoming more distant from the other Gladers. Another person who is acting weirdly, is Newt. Ever since he found out that his tattoo said he was the glue and that Minho was the leader, he acts like he isn't fit out to be the leader. Before this, Newt was the one who always called the shots, and became the leader type. But ever since he say Minho's tattoo, he kept convincing Minho that Minho was the leader instead of himself. After a lot of convincing, Minho finally said ok on being the leader. Then after that, Newt started acting, distant, and would really just stay in the background when Minho would give a 'pep' talk.
